Excelent job Ian! Super smooth mesh with nice curves, no odd angels or shapes in the least. Only thing I can see is where the crest touches the snake part, it does not look attached rather just sitting next to one another.
I love the idea of a snake holding up the feathers, but I would have to agree with Maria that it looks like the feathers/crest is/are just sitting on top.
Lastly, to me, the edges seem just a little too flush/soft/rounded for the helmet. If you accented the edges with a bevel, I think it would greatly improve this piece.
